Behind the scenes: groundwork for replying to messages
v2.55.23.0Nothing changes in the app with this release.
This is preparation for being able to reply to a message in your inbox - answering an admin announcement, or agreeing a new date with the other team without leaving LeagueForge.
The work here is the plumbing underneath that: the app can now tell that a message sent to several people is ONE message rather than several separate ones, and it knows not to clear a message out of your inbox while a conversation on it is still going.
The Reply button itself is still to come. Your inbox, your notifications and your alerts all behave exactly as they did before.
Tell your opponent you are ready
v2.55.22.0Marking your team ready now tells the other team straight away.
Before this, nothing was sent until BOTH teams had pressed the button - so if you turned up early and marked ready, the other team had no idea you were waiting. In practice that meant most ready presses reached nobody at all.
Now, the moment one team marks ready, the other team gets a notification: who is ready, which match, and the week. If you typed a note when you marked ready - where your boards are set up, say - that note goes with it.
Only the other team is notified. You will not get a message telling you that you are ready.
When the second team marks ready, the "Both teams are ready" alert goes out exactly as it always has.
These alerts clear themselves from your inbox after a day, since a heads-up about a match that has already started is not much use. If you have turned off court and match alerts in your notification settings, this one stays off too.
Put your leagues in the order you want them
v2.55.21.0If you are in more than one league, you can now choose what order they appear in on the home page. Handy when only one of them is actually playing this season - put that one first.
Tap the pencil next to "Your Leagues", use the up and down arrows to move a league, then tap Done. Tap Cancel if you change your mind and everything goes back how it was.
Your order is yours alone - it does not change what anyone else sees.
Your leagues now show up on the home page
v2.55.20.0The "Your Leagues" card on the home page used to show leagues only if you were set up as an admin for them. If you simply played in a league, it showed nothing - even though you were on a roster.
It now shows every league you are rostered in, including leagues whose season has already finished. Tap a league to go straight to its standings.
If you are an admin as well as a player, you will see both sets together, with no duplicates.
Cornhole and Clay Target stay separate: the Cornhole site shows your cornhole leagues, and the Clay Target site shows your clay leagues.
See how busy a week already is before you reschedule into it
v2.55.19.0When you reschedule a match, the week list now shows how many matches each team already has booked in that week:
Week 7 - Dumb and Dumber (1), Abercrombies (3)
So you can spot a week that is already crowded before you move a match into it, instead of finding out afterwards.
If the week you pick would leave either team with more than 3 matches, you will see a short heads-up underneath. It is only a heads-up - you can still go ahead and reschedule. Sometimes a busy week is exactly what you need.
Watching a rescheduled match now shows the right week
v2.55.18.4If a match gets moved to a different week, the live spectator view was still showing the week it was originally scheduled for. A match rescheduled from week 2 into week 4 said "Week 2".
It now shows the week the match is actually being played in.
Nothing else on the spectator screen changed, and matches that have never been moved show the same week they always did.
Behind the scenes
v2.55.18.3Internal housekeeping only -- no change to anything you see or use. A batch of files had inconsistent formatting left over from older edits, which has now been tidied up across the whole platform.
Promo code options tidied up
v2.55.18.2The promo code screen no longer offers two discount types that could never actually be redeemed at checkout. To give something away for free, use a Free (100%) code -- that already covers it.
Small display fix in the admin area
v2.55.18.1A few separator characters were displaying as a black diamond instead of a dot on some admin screens. Those now render correctly.
Behind the scenes
v2.55.18.0Internal tooling only this time -- nothing changes for players or league admins. The development backlog now lives inside LeagueForge rather than in a separate document, which makes it easier to keep track of what is planned and what has already shipped.
Promotional banner no longer covers the top of the page on phones
v2.55.17.1When a promotional message was long enough to wrap onto two lines, it could overlap the top of the page on narrow screens. The page now always starts below it.
No more double notifications
v2.55.17.0If you play more than one sport on LeagueForge, you may have been getting the same alert twice on the same phone or computer. That is fixed -- one notification per device, however many sports you play.
Your other devices are unaffected: if you have notifications turned on for both your phone and your laptop, both still get alerted.
Tidier notification settings
v2.55.16.1Your notification settings no longer offer to turn push on when it is already on for the device you are using. The button simply steps aside once notifications are enabled.
On the Trap & Skeet settings page, the "Disable on this device" button now only appears when there is something to disable.
Turn on match notifications from anywhere
v2.55.16.0You can now switch on notifications from wherever you happen to be -- the schedule, standings, your inbox or the home page -- instead of hunting for the setting on your dashboard.
Look for the blue Get notified about your matches panel and tap Turn on. You will get court assignments, reschedules and match alerts on that device, for every sport you play.
Not interested right now? Not now tucks it away for a week. Your inbox also shows a small tag telling you whether notifications are on for the device you are using, with a Turn on button if they are not -- so you can switch them on any time without waiting.
Notifications are per device, so turning them on for your phone does not cover your laptop. The tag in your inbox always tells you the truth about the device you are on.
Sport tags now show in your message list too
v2.55.15.1The coloured sport tag that appears when you open a message now shows on the message list as well, so you can tell Cornhole and Trap & Skeet messages apart without opening them.
Your inbox always shows every message sent to you, whichever sport you happen to be browsing - now it is clear at a glance which is which.
Your inbox is easier to scan
v2.55.15.0Messages now carry a small icon showing what kind of message they are, so a reschedule looks different from an announcement at a glance - in the list and on the message itself.
Open a message and you will also see a coloured tag for the sport it belongs to, which helps if you play both Cornhole and Trap & Skeet.
Nothing was removed and no message changed its wording - this is purely about finding what you are looking for faster.
Spot your own match at a glance
v2.55.14.0When you are signed in, your matches are now marked with a green Your Match tag on the schedule, so you can find yours without reading every card.
It shows on the full week list, where it is actually useful. If you filter to a single team you will not see it, because every match on that page is already that team's.
Play on more than one team this season? Both of your matches are tagged.
Only you see your own tag, and only while you are signed in.
Notifications take you back to the right sport
v2.55.13.1If you play both Cornhole and Trap & Skeet, opening a notification now offers the dashboard for the sport that notification is actually about.
Previously it offered whichever sport you happened to be browsing at the time, so a Cornhole match alert opened with a Trap & Skeet button - and getting back to your Cornhole season took an extra couple of taps.
If you only play one sport, nothing changes.
Filter your schedule by team AND by week
v2.55.13.0Pick your team, then pick a week. Choosing a team used to show you the whole season at once, so finding "what is my match this week" meant scrolling past every other week. Now the week picker stays available in team view.
Choosing a team keeps the week you were already looking at, so you land straight on the match you were after.
Want the full season back? Pick (All weeks) from the week list at any time.
Rescheduled matches show up in the week they are actually being played, not the week they were originally scheduled for.
(no user-facing change)
v2.55.12.0Internal clean-up. The links inside match-ready, reschedule and court-assignment notifications are now built by one shared piece of code instead of three near-identical copies. The links themselves are unchanged.
